Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Plano will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in Texas usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amโ8 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Plano is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Plano peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

They need a bell for the register for introverts๐ญ๐ค๐ผ i liked the takoyaki and obanyaki. I would not get the onigiri again, thereโs just way too much rice and too little filling. The shakashaka pandas looked and tasted really sad. Iโd come back to try other snacks

The place has been on my to-try list for a while now. My sister and I went in today, and we are very glad that we did. We picked up matchas and two onigiris (one spicy chicken and one miso salmon). Everything that we got was delicious. The onigiris were warm and you could tell everything was freshly made. We will be coming back to this cafe very soon to try more things!

This place has an authentic taste, I don't often see yuzu offered as an option. I enjoy the little pieces of yuzu peel in the honey drink. And I enjoyed the taste of the onigiri. However, I take issue with the prices, $7+ for an onigiri is outrageous when this place is trying to mimic Japan, a place with notoriously cheaper food than the west. I tried to save money by using the combo meal option, but unfortunately it's a scam as depending on what you order, the price will increase making the deal basically useless. I got two onirigi, a small drink, and a obanyaki, and the total was ~$19, for something that isn't even a full meal with leftovers. You could get so much food for $19, it is not worth it. I recommend learning how to make onigiri at home, you could get all the ingredients for $19 or less and make multiple servings. It would be a fun project.

It was my first time at Hoshi Cafe, and I went with all my friends. We all loved itโthe taste was amazing and everything was perfect! My favorite was the custard cream oban yaki. The custard wasnโt too sweet and had a really nice milky flavor. I also loved the matcha oneโthe slight hint of matcha and the soft, fluffy batter made the perfect combination. It was so soft and fluffy that we didnโt even need a knife to split it! The tuna mayo sandwich was also really good, with a strong, tasty punch of Texas barbecue flavor and delicious Japanese mayo. It was so delicious that we bought extra sweets to share with our friends who couldnโt come. And we had so much fun playing the claw machine!

First time trying this location! Very well maintained and the customer service was top tier, even though, visibly, there were two people running the place. Every question was answered with care and thereโs no need to feel rushed. Itโs a great place for a quick bite or carry out. Lots of menu options to try. The desserts were delicious and served to order. Everything was fresh and made with care. Would highly recommend as itโs family, kids, and college student friendly.
